Adult Learner Festival

Are you a Deaf person and interested in Adult Education? You may be interested in attending Roslyn Park College’s “Adult Learner Festival” which will take place on Wednesday 24th February 2016 in Sandymount, Dublin 4.

When:

Wednesday 24th February 2016

Time:

10am – 3pm

Venue:

Roslyn Park

The festival will run from 10am – 3pm and will give guests a chance to see the different courses available in the college.

There will be lots of different workshops and demonstrations available on the day. Here are just a few examples:

  • Workshops on “Photoshop” (course – Multimedia and Digital Graphic Design)

  • Workshops on “Portfolio Preparation” (course – Artlink)

  • Talk and Demonstration on “3D Doodlers” (course – Artlink)

  • Culinary and Barista Demonstrations (course Catering Support)

  • Demonstration on PC Assembling and Networking (course – IT and Computer Maintenance)

  • Video – (course – Horticulture)

  • Gaming demonstration (course – Computer Programming and Games Design)

  • Workshop on Interview Skills and Techniques (with the Transition Facilitator)

  • Demonstration of Nail Art (student form Business Studies course)

  • And many more…

Deaf Students Welcome

Guests will have the chance to chat with Deaf students and interpreters in room 7 from 11–12 and 2–3pm. A team of interpreters will be here throughout the day to facilitate anyone who would like to go to the workshops or chat with staff and students here.
