Kerry Citizens Information now provides Sign Language Interpreting Services in all of its center’s; Tralee, Killarney, Listowel, Killorglin, Caherciveen, Kenmare and Dingle outreach.
If you would like to use Kerry Citizens Information Service and require Sign Language Interpreting Services (SLIS) please let them know and they will organise an interrupter through the Irish Remote Interpreting Service (IRIS). IRIS is a simple user friendly service which provides an on–line link to an Irish Sign Language / English interpreter. The IRIS interpreter is based in the SLIS offices whilst the clients can be located anywhere in Ireland, but they must be booked in advance.

Citizens Information Live Advisor
Live Advisor allows you to chat directly with an Information Officer in a chat-room-type environment. The Live Advisor service is intended for people with hearing and speech difficulties and for others who have difficulty communicating by telephone.
The Live Advisor service is available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Portable Induction Loop
We also have an induction loop system which is designed to aid communication with hearing impaired people who have the “T” position on their hearing aid.

A friendly team of fully trained Information Providers can help you find your way through the maze of information from various government departments and agencies, and make sure that you have all the information and help you need, presented in an easy–to–understand way. Citizens Information can provide you with information on a wide range of issues, including employment rights, housing, social welfare, family matters, pensions, migrant rights, health services, education, disability and much more. Their Information providers can also help you to complete forms, write letters make telephone calls, and calculate your entitlements.
