If you are a cochlear implant user, or if you are on the waiting list for a cochlear implant, this event is for you! At this event you can learn more about cochlear implants, the latest technology, and perhaps most useful of all, get to meet other people who have experience using a cochlear implant.
DeafHear provides support to adults with CIs and those who are on the waiting list. We have regular ‘Gatherings’ around the country, and a number of local groups meet on a regular basis in DeafHear Resource Centres around the country to access information and encourage social inclusion for people with cochlear implants. We work closely with Beaumont’s CI Team and the cochlear implant companies to provide support and up to date information about CIs and also how to get the best benefit from the available assistive technology. Feedback from clients who have attended these events has been very positive and helped us shape and develop the programme for these events.
