Accessible Film Project
The IFI (Irish Film Institute) would like to hear from people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing who have availed of their open captioned or audio described screenings?
Since the launch of its accessible cinema project in April 2016, the IFI has screened over 22 films with open captions or audio description, to meet the varied needs of its audiences.
Now, in order to assess feedback on this pilot project, IFI is holding two focus group meetings in April. The first of these focus groups is specifically for Deaf people or those with a hearing loss.
The meeting will take place in the IFI in Temple Bar on April 10th between 6.00 and 7.30 p.m. The meeting will be informal and light refreshments will be served.
All focus group participants will receive a pair of complimentary tickets to an accessible screening of their choosing at IFI.
If you would like to attend, please contact Alicia McGivern, Head of Education at IFI (firstname.lastname@example.org) by April 3rd, to confirm your participation in the focus group.
If you cannot attend, your feedback would also be welcome through an online survey:
