The staff of DeafHear, two local community Guards and the Kerry Deaf Group met up once again.

We went to Muckross House in a community Garda bus for a grand tour of the building. We were given a VIP tour by Paula, our tour guide around the magnificent historical house where Queen Victoria and Prince Albert once stayed in 1861.

One of the Deaf clients said that he felt he was warped back to the 1860?s as the furniture and décor remains the same since the Queen?s visit.

The tour was finished by having lunch at the café at Muckross House.

The day was fantastic and the group had a great time.

If anyone is thinking of coming to Killarney, Muckross House is well worth the visit!!
