Social Inclusion outing with the Tralee H&C Group
We thoroughly enjoyed a day out at Just Cooking School in Firies.
The focus was on nutrition and special diets such as arthritis, diabetes and celiac. After a demonstration about preparation of ingredients we worked in pairs to pre-pare and cook several dishes. The group was aware of the need to make sure everyone was included and newly acquired communication skills were put to the test.
Dishes cooked (and eaten!) included tomato soup, salmon bake, roasted vegetables and chicken stir fry with noodles.
