The Saturday Club

Summer CampThe Saturday Club meets once a month. It provides art and craft and other social outlets for people who have an intellectual disability but who are also Deaf and use Irish Sign Language (ISL) to communicate.

The aim would be to provide an environment where the individual could use Irish Sign Language (ISL). We are encouraging staff to bring the person along and stay so that they may also pick up some ISL.

The club is being run by Adrian Rynne who is profoundly Deaf and who has just completed a Higher Diploma in Art for Art and Design Teachers in LIT
The first meeting will take place in the HSE Workshop which is located across the road from the Regional Hospital in Limerick. Car parking facilitates are available.

The Saturday club is starting this Saturday the 14th of May from 11:00am to 1:00pm and again on the following dates:

  • Saturday 4th of June
  • Saturday 2nd of July
  • Saturday 7th of August
