Summer Respite – Kerry group goes to Tramore

This year for our summer respite we headed east to the sunny town of Tramore.
With the sun shining we loaded up our cars and hit the road for a couple of days by the sea.
After our long drive it was lovely to get out for a walk on the beach and to explore this charming town.
We had a great dinner at a local café where some of us sampled the fish and chips!

Next day we headed into Waterford to a lovely coffee shop for a pre-arranged meeting with the Waterford group of deaf adults.
We spent some very happy hours meeting and chatting with new friends. In fact we enjoyed the meeting so much we plan to meet up again, perhaps next time at a half-way point in Cork.
After a visit to the shopping centre we headed to the local supermarket where we stocked up on ingredients for dinner that evening.

The afternoon was spent with some going for a swim and enjoying the water slide. Others wanted to look around the amusements park and visit the craft shop.
Some even had time for a pamper session at the local Spa.
We all came together for our delicious home cooked meal.
Everyone helped out and the meatballs and pasta was a big hit with us all.

For our final day we had one last, rather bracing stroll on the beach and shared a lovely picnic lunch.
And before we knew it, it was time to load up the cars again for the return trip back home.
A great, fun, summer break with lovely memories for us all!
